Not gonna lie, this place had such a warm, lively feel to it. The old school vibe made it really fun and easy to enjoy

"We came with a bigger group..."
We came with a bigger group and I was kind of confused by the setup. It was really loud, and the seating felt so cramped that it was hard to relax or even talk to everyone. Maybe it’s better for smaller groups, but it didn’t really work for us.

"Food was decent, but it felt a bit messy"
The food was alright and I wouldn’t say I hated the place or anything, but the whole time I was there I kept noticing little cleanliness things that kind of took me out of it, like our table being a little sticky, some food scraps on the floor near where we were sitting, and the bathroom looking like it hadn’t been checked in a while, so maybe they were just slammed that night but for what we paid I expected it to feel a bit more taken care of.

"Surprisingly smooth service"
I was ready for the usual runaround, but the staff was quick, super nice, and actually got things handled without any drama. No issues at all, which is kind of a relief for once.

"Booking the table was a bit of a hassle"
I tried making a reservation online, and the site kept glitching or not responding the way I expected. I did eventually get a table, but since there wasn’t a clear confirmation right away, I wasn’t totally sure it went through. From my experience, the food or service might be fine, but the reservation process could definitely be smoother.

"Smaller portions than I expected"
I ordered online and thought the portions would be a lot bigger for the price. Maybe I was expecting too much, but it felt skimpy for what they charge. I still ended up being hungry after, so I’m not sure I’d order from here again...

"Shockingly painless wait"
We showed up expecting the usual NYC ritual of standing around forever and questioning all our life choices, but somehow the line actually moved fast. The host gave us a clear wait time, and then, in a stunning plot twist, we got seated even sooner. No chaos, no feeling forgotten, no dramatic restaurant purgatory. For a place that was packed, the wait was totally fine. Really good experience...

The portions were definitely big and the food tasted good, but it still felt a little expensive for what it was. I also wasn’t thrilled with how carelessly everything was handled, the bag looked tossed around and the containers were kind of messy when I got them. Overall decent, but not perfect.
